In this webinar, Jenifer Freedy draws on her experience supporting survivors of trauma to explain how therapists can work with the nervous system to support more attuned and effective work with clients.

The session will focus on recognizing and responding to patterns of activation, shutdown, and dissociation as meaningful protective responses, rather than symptoms to be managed.

Jenifer will discuss how a polyvagal-informed lens can support therapists in tracking moment-to-moment shifts, and adjusting their interventions to better support safety, pacing, and connection.

Integrating somatic techniques and polyvagal principles with parts-oriented work, Jen will highlight practical ways to stay aligned with a client’s capacity while deepening therapeutic attunement. The emphasis will be on working with what is happening with the client, by supporting regulation without pushing beyond what feels manageable for the client.

This webinar is well-suited for therapists working with trauma who want to strengthen their understanding of regulation and protective responses, while keeping the therapeutic relationship at the center of the work.
